Ichigo Ichie: The art of making the most of every moment

Ichigo Ichie: The art of making the most of every moment

A while ago we talked about “ikigai”, which is a person’s personal purpose. If someone discovers their purpose, they have a chance to live a long and happy life.   Today we are going to talk about “ichigo ichie”, according to which, every moment that passes is a little treasure. Moments pass very quickly and then they’re lost forever.   So, it would be best to not let them pass just like that, but experience them 100%. It is said that if someone enjoys every moment of his life they are more likely to live a more fulfilled life. One of the main reasons is that they are not concerned about the past or the future.

How to achieve it

So if you’re intrigued by ichigo ichie’s filosophy, here are some first steps for you to begin with:

  • Don’t postpone important things

A trip or a meeting can change your life drastically. You should cease the moment because you may only get one chance. The moment is now!

  • Live as if every event in your life happens once

Next time you see a favorite person of yours, try to spend your time with them as if it’s going to be the last time. It may sound macabre, but it’s the only way you’re going to be completely present in the moment with them.

  • Pay attention to the moment

It’s no use thinking what you could have done better in the past or worry about the future. What you have is now, and every possibility exists in the present moment.

  • Use your senses

Try to train yourself to use all five senses at once. This will help you be more alert and increase your compassion towards others.

  • Notice the coincidences

Are coincidences really random? We don’t think so! Coincidences are universe’s way to talk to us. Learn to listen and notice.

  • Change your life

If you find difficulty enjoying your life as it is now or if you’re just tired, you can try and change it. You’re going to be more miserable if you don’t.

  • Chase the special moments

Embrace each day with gratitude, don’t wait for the right moment to come. You have the power to create the moment and make it special yourself.   Seminars Recent Articles
