Specifically, children should eat: -three meals daily as well as a snack -definitely breakfast -a variety of fruits and vegetables -milk and yogurt daily -a variety of cereals with a preference for whole grains -red or white lean meat, fish and seafood 2-3 times a week -fatty fish once a week -legumes once a week -definitely olive oil Also, they should reduce sugar and salt as well as all the products that contain them. According to the “guide”, children must eat with their family and not in front of the TV. Cooking should be done at home in a healthy and safe way and seasonal products should be preferred. At the same time, daily physical activity is recommended, as well as the consumption of water. Thanassis Tziamourtas, a professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at the University of Thessaly and president of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science Dietetics at the same University, says that parents should become an example and role model for their children.
