How to live a simple life: Tips and secrets

We often complain that our lives have become complicated. We want to live in a more simple way. But have we ever really wondered what that means? Do we know what it means but do not know exactly how to do it? A simple life does not exactly mean living with less or like our grandparents or spending less money, shop less and create what we need with our own hands. To understand what living simplified means, here are some examples: A job with a lower salary that doesn’t stress you and is within walking distance instead of a stressful job with good money that is two hours away from home. Comfortable clothes that you wash at home instead of a closet full of designer clothes that you have to send to the laundry service. A smaller house that you can maintain instead of a bigger one that you can have with a loan. The above examples show that a simple life includes things that not only cost a lot of money but also time and stress. The essence of a simple life is one: when you have to make a decision, choose the option that will bring you more peace of mind. Want more secrets for a simple life? Read below. When you live a simple life you just want less and less things. How do you do that  in a society that is over-consuming? If you have friends who make you feel less satisfied with your life while there is no reason, limit the time you spend with them. Also, reduce the things that overwhelm you. For example, if you do not have time to go to the supermarket to shop, you can place your order online and someone will bring it to you at home . You may pay more money but once in a while there is no problem if you really need it. There are many things in life that we think we should do while in 99% of cases we don’t need to. In addition, when you live a simple life you do not do things to meet the expectations of others or because others have done them too. If a neighbor buys a big TV it does not mean that you have to buy one, too, if you do not want and if you do not have the money to do so. If your parents are doctors and your sister studied medicine also that does not mean that you have to follow the profession. If you want to simplify your life, throw away or give to those who need it the most what you do not really want.  Finally, create space in your life (literally and figuratively) for what you really want to do. Make a list of priorities (eg spending more time with your family) and stick to them. Giota Florou Source: heartscontentfarmhouse. com Recent Articles
