Coffee is one of the most famous beverages. But even if you are eating healthy and working out, it’s how you prefer your coffee that may still affect your health. So, find out how to make coffee a healthier habit! 

  • Say NO to sugar: If you’re overloading your coffee with sugar you’re doing more harm than good. Sugar is not a healthy ingredient, as it can cause many health problems. Try to replace it with a natural sweetener, like stevia or agave syrup. 
  • Drink coffee in moderation: No, you can’t drink five coffees a day and get away with it… Caffeine overdose has been shown to cause nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, addiction, digestion issues, high blood pressure, exhaustion, etc. For example, an 80-pound man can consume up to two coffees a day. 
  • Add cinnamon: Cinnamon has been shown to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides. Plus, it makes a good match with coffee! 
  • Select a quality blend: If you have the option, opt for a blend that doesn’t contain pesticides and other preservatives. 
  • Drink lots of water: Coffee dehydrates, so always remember to drink water while you’re having your coffee. 
  • Drink your coffee in the morning: The best time to have your coffee is in the morning, as it gives you the energy you need for the day. Avoid drinking coffee in the afternoon, because it can cause you sleep problems.
