Equality in exercise: Elderly

Equality in exercise: Elderly

Now the number of elderly people worldwide, according to demographics, is particularly high. Their participation in sports activities and exercise in general is so high. It seems that sport is superior when it comes to equality, since people of any age can participate in it.

Comparison of exercise in the elderly and in general

Data that have been collected in the field of gerontology, geriatrics and sports equalize the potential of the elderly to exercise with adults. More specifically, it is said that weight training and resistance training, relaxed aerobics, pilates and yoga are suitable for all population groups, regardless of their age.  So whether you are an adult or older, there is no limit on how you can exercise. So there are no excuses, with the right exercise instructions you can benefit immediately and have no negative effects.

Equal exercises for adults and the elderly

There is a wide range of exercises and sports activities that are suitable for all ages. There are many sports associations, clubs and sports federations that have pre-planned activities that are organized for for the elderly.  So it seems that the elderly are taken into account by the sports world without being discriminated against because of their age. There are many pre-arranged programs and sports associations in which the elderly are free to participate.    Katerina Zouganeli    Source  Tokarski W.
