Exercise for children: Why is it necessary to promote children’s growth?
Continuous exercise needs to begin for children from an early age. There are two reasons: firstly, for them to decide what they will do in the future regarding the sports part, if and if they wish, and secondly, to develop themselves properly. There are many reasons why exercise promotes the proper development of children and it will be analyzed later. The only thing for sure is that we should not hesitate in order to promote sports to our children.
Reasons why physical activity promotes child development
Initially, exercise is a means of physical development since it helps children build stronger muscles and bones by activating their body to cope with intense situations. By building a proper physical structure from an early age, healthy bone volume and endurance are created, facts that can reduce the future occurrence of diseases that concern the bones, e.g. osteoporosis. At the same time, exercise is a means of improving the physical condition of children which allows them to walk longer distances without getting tired and have the strength to be able to fulfill the daily demands of the environment since exercise promotes stability and flexibility. The main thing is that exercise significantly develops motor skills. Motor skills are acquired from an early age and need to be guided by practitioners in order for children to be able to perform movements either simple or complex and have good skills either cognitively or in general in order to have a better future career. At the same time, exercise functions as a means of promoting social relationships and the development of social friendships between children. This is a special element that exercise offers since it is usually found in groups of people dominated by teamwork, cooperation and communication. Exercise therefore functions as a means of social development. Finally, since the benefits of exercise are many on a social and personal level, it improves the mental state of children. Children by being healthier and having healthy interpersonal relationships with those around them at the same time raises their mental state and their self-confidence.
