Head massage: A Base Training seminar you don’t want to miss!
Even if it seems motionless, our skull is full of many small muscles inside. Our brain is the part of the body that processes sensations. Massage is used to relax any body part where there is tension or spasms. It may not be visible to us, but tension builds up in our heads too. Some studies have shown that our head’s response to touching is more complex than we could imagine. Researchers experimented on a group of 24 female students to see what benefits head massage had to offer. The study found that it reduced symptoms of depression, feelings of boredom and anxiety. One thing is for sure though: no one hates head massages! I’m sure that there has been at least one time in your life when someone simply touched your head and made you feel better. Now, imagine having a massage therapist taking care of your skull for several minutes or even for a whole hour.
Although the beneficial effects of head massage may be different from person to person, we would like to give you an indication of what it can offer you:
- reduces stress
- relaxes
- relieves body tension
- relieves headaches and migraines
- enhances hair growth
- promotes blood circulation in the area
- reduces blood pressure
- helps treat insomnia
