Nutritional Awareness: Why Does It Happen?
In general, public awareness of the diet and consequently of exercise has many causes for which it occurs. What are those?
What is nutritional awareness?
Nutritional awareness is defined as the communication of the special importance that is attached to the consumption of balanced meals and the existence of a balanced diet program, to the public. Raising public awareness of eating habits directly affects the quality of nutrition and consequently health and quality of life.
Why is nutritional awareness necessary?
Nutritional awareness is necessary for the following reasons:
- Continuous increase in people with chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity
- Premature deaths for the above reason
- Low quality of life
- Bad eating habits from a large part of the population
- Overconsumption and many expenses for “fast food”
