Per Markussen

Per is currently working as an employment officer, where he is the link between employees and employers.

Adding on that, Per is one of the World’s top International Fitness Presenters and have toured the Globe for over 20 years. As a professional fitness presenter, Per has developed a unique way of teaching, combined with his everlasting enthusiasm, creativity and joy. He has modified and developed his own special system with huge success all over the world, based on the Scandinavian methodology.

As an employment agent his expertise was the labor market, match employers with employees jobs and make sure job seekers find a job. In addition to acting as coach and support for that job seeker, it’s important to value differences and understand how background, culture and group affiliation affect everyone involved.

As a Human Resources Coordinator in ICA Gruppen, he had to Coordinate interview meetings between the various area managers and potential candidates. Held in-house internal interviews and had follow-up interviews with external psychologist regarding the candidates’ suitability. He had the responsibility for updating activity/employment needs, as well as coordinated meetings for drug testing with occupational health care. He had to wrote requirements profiles and advertisements and put them out for printing in various press magazines. Worked as a link between external recruitment companies and ICA’s internal needs. Wrote an action plan (the Health Line) in order to increase physical and mental “health” for the employees at the IT Center. Presented tangible layout for how to proceed. In addition to this, an action plan was also presented for how to set up meetings with the staff, content of these meetings, proposals for follow-up etc.

Moreover, expanding the aforementioned field he is a Brand Ambassador and responsible for finding talent across Europe. His expertise is Swedish labor law, coaching, matching candidates as well as working cross functionally within the company.

Per owns the Aspire to Inspire & the Work it Out SRL, an international consulting firm with focus on HR and staffing, motivational speeches, health, international projects, company strategies and building brands. On the same field until 2016 he worked as an International HR Coordinator & Project Manager, in World Class Romania, since his responsibilities were the development of all group training activities in 9 European countries, increasing the quality of all 700 instructors in the company to reach the highest international standard, develop company strategies, strengthen the brand worldwide, create new classes and concepts as well as develop hiring practices. He was also responsible for all HR queries, such as retention and coaching the managers in their day-to-day work.

Per founded Romania’s first internationally renowned school for professional educations within training and health. He designed all programs and created a team of international trainers and instructors. Today the school is the most successful educational organization in Romania and the Central and Eastern European countries. In addition to leading the company, he focused on HR and staffing, retention, recruitment, budgeting, coaching, teaching and developing the company as a whole.

His job as a job coach, until 2010 involved coaching job seekers to find work. The purpose is to develop the job-seeker’s skills in seeking jobs in an active and conscious manner towards a clearly formulated goal. As a job coach he coached groups, individually, via e-mail and phone about where to find vacancies, how to write cover letters and resumes, and give tips on preparing for employment interview. An important part of his work is to actively contact and visit employers in order to maintain and develop good relations in order to achieve an effective match that leads to employment.

The work is characterized by continuous documentation in the Swedish Public Employment Service’s system support and places demands on the ability to document and be structured.

At the same period Per was responsible for the delivery of candidates in the fields of finance, logistics and administrators. The work involved finding the right skills for the current requirements profile and ensuring Proffice’s candidate flow. He was responsible for the candidate flow to the business area through active marketing in the form of advertising, participation in labor market days etc. Creating ads and making selection and conducting interviews with potential candidates, taking references and presenting suitable candidates to the consultant manager and / or customer, were some of his duties. As leader for internal training (Training Camps), where the purpose was to develop skills and supervise/coach existing consultants, he designed a lecture series/workshop with focus on health/diet, inspiration, motivation and stress management.
