Self-care: Tips for a beautiful summer! 

 

Ok, spill the beans! What’s your plan for this summer? Do you think about taking a vacation somewhere beautiful? We hope you do! After everything we’ve been through during this stressful year, we all need some vacation. Apart from holidays though, we have some extra self-care tips for you! 

Take care of your body 

  • It’s ok if you lost your focus during the quarantine and ruined your diet and your workout plan. The gyms are open again, so you can get back in shape. 
  • Now that it’s hot outside, don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day. 
  • Even if you’re not at the beach, make sure to wear sunscreen when you’re outside. 

Take care of your soul 

  • Wake up an hour earlier to do something you like. That way, your day will start much more pleasantly.  
  • Stop comparing yourself to others. Each one is unique, so learn to appreciate and love yourself. 
  • “Feed” your mind. When you’re having a bad thought try to replace it with a positive one. 

Prioritize your emotional health 

  • Make a music playlist that cheers you up and press play while you’re doing the housework or other activities. Let the rhythm take you over. 
  • Learn how to say “no” whenever you don’t feel like doing something. Don’t feel guilty about it. 

Slow things down 

  • You can’t be under pressure or stressed all the time. Indulge in some dancing, some yoga, resting, or spend quality time with your loved ones. 
  • Try to meditate for 5 or 10 minutes a day. It will give you that inner peace you need. 
  • Take bubble baths with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). They reduce inflammation levels, hydrate the skin and help you detox.
