The easiest workout with multiple benefits!

The easiest workout with multiple benefits!

Science has spoken! A recent study conducted only on females showed that women who walk daily show essential health benefits.  The findings showed that women who walk more than 4,400 steps daily are 41% less at risk of premature death than those who walk less than 2,700 steps. If you’re wondering if pace matters, the answer is very promising. Steps are just steps, regardless of whether they are slow or fast.

Are deadlines chasing you? Just get up!

Sometimes you may feel kind of stressed out. When this happens, do something about it. Get up and move!  There are a lot of things that will get in the way, especially if you are overwhelmed by dozens of parallel thoughts related to the project you are working on, family or personal obligations, etc. Then you are more likely to say “I don’t have time for that”. It’s like a black hole that inevitably pulls you in and won’t let you come out of it.  Don’t let it stop you! Go wear a comfortable pair of shoes, fill your bottle with coffee, water or juice and just start walking. Once you get back home, your stress will have diminished and you’ll feel more productive.

How to enjoy your walk

You don’t have to live by the sea or on a mountain to enjoy your walk. All it takes is to create a pleasant mood by yourself and select a route that will free you from unpleasant thoughts.

Some interesting ideas

  • Go for a walk when the sun is out (don’t forget to wear sunscreen)
  • Listen to your favorite playlist
  • Put your phone on silent mode
  • Before you go out, take a bath and wear your favorite perfume
  • Concentrate your thoughts on the present moment
  • Try to discover hidden corners of your neighborhood

Extra tip: Next time someone tells you “Don’t stress” put on your shoes and go for that walk. Don’t get caught up in pointless conversations with people who don’t empathize with you.  Learn everything you need to know about exercise & nutrition with Base Training Academy Seminars Recent Articles
