Women & exercise – Myth busted! “She is a woman. She does not have the same endurance, so she is not a suitable opponent.” Over time, many taboos associated with women have been formed and despite the fact that modern society has seemingly progressed, these perceptions are still around us. However, modern athletes have shown that these taboos are only prejudices to underestimate women. Women have earned thousands of victories, cups and medals, which have been republished worldwide. Although men are innately superior concerning physical strength, this does not mean that women cannot be developed in the sports field, should they invest time and effort. Moreover, it is worth clarifying that women have greater muscular and mental endurance than men by nature. At the same time, women own a Master’s degree in multitasking, accompanied by high levels of concentration, aspects that are fundamentally important in the sports industry! What more could we ask for, ladies? Furthermore, there are thousands of researches, specific exercises, supportive diets and recent studies that focus on the female anatomy and endocrinology, aiming to enhance women’s performance in sports and help them earn their spot at the top. So, if you’ve ever thought that this is difficult, maybe it’s time to reconsider! Check out our workshops Pilates Matwork & Props and Pilates & Pregnancy.
