Pilates Certification provided by Base Training Academy is a complete seminar on the Pilates method.
Participants are provided with all the necessary theoretical and practical material needed to become professional Pilates instructors.
The Pilates Certification seminar consists of 4 consecutive levels:
Pilates Matwork & Props is the foundation of the Pilates method. Exercises of the traditional method of Joseph Pilates are performed using the mat, with or without the use of props.
Once completing the Matwork syllabus, students will have conquered the techniques and foundation of the method and will be able to move forward practicing on the Reformer bed and the rest of the Pilates equipment.
Pilates Matwork & Props refers to basic body anatomy and kinesiology, combinations of exercises that can be done on the mat but also proper preparation.
This means that:
The first Pilates module is completed in 6 weekends (60 hours).
Pilates Reformer is the second part of Pilates Certification and is the natural continuation of Matwork.
The trainee of the gym and Pilates studio starts training in small groups, usually taking the basis of Pilates from Matwork techniques. Progress in Pilates learning comes with the Reformer, which is a “fitness bed” with multiple fitness options.
After assimilating the Pilates Matwork and the Pilates Reformer seminars, the course continues to the last section “Pilates Equipment”.
Specialized Pilates training machines, such as tower, chair, spine corrector, spring board and cadillac will become your allies, as you will learn how they can assist your trainee. Are you the next Pilates Equipment expert?
Through theoretical and practical courses, you now specialize in Pilates. The goal is to understand the possibilities it gives you as an exercise method and to learn ways to make your lesson a pleasant and efficient process.
